Welcome to Woodside Academy - part of London South East Academies Trust
We are a special academy, offering provision for 4 -19 year olds with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and moderate learning needs. All of our pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). All new admissions require a confirmed diagnosis of Autism (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).
Woodside Academy has a welcoming, calm and purposeful environment where learning is tailored to the needs of each individual child.
Our pupils are supported by therapy teams including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy. The therapists work closely with the staff team to ensure all children and young people's needs are fully supported.
We have a Pastoral Support Worker who works with families and supports them through difficult and challenging times.
We work in close partnership with Belmont Academy, which is unique in that it connects a special school with a mainstream school. It enables us to make meaningful links between the two educational environments, enriching the provision on offer to our children.
Woodside Academy joined the London South East Academies Trust in April 2019, joining seven other outstanding schools in Bexley and Bromley. This gives us the opportunity to share best practice and strengthen educational links across the region.
Welcome to our website and do visit our virtual tours. To find out more then please make contact with the school office.
