Woodside Academy will move to remote learning for most pupils until the February half term.

On-site provision for children of critical workers and those most vulnerable will be provided where appropriate. The local context and our operational capacity are under constant review and we are aiming to accept more children as soon as we can.

All learning tasks will be available via your child's Google Classroom account and further details regarding quantity of learning, teacher feedback, a parent user guide to access Google Classroom will be made avaialble.  Children will have access to identical learning activities whether they are learning from home or on-site.

School staff will be making regular contact with all children who are currently learning remotely either through Google Classroom or, with your agreement, through telephone calls home.

If you are a parent working at home, we know how difficult that can be. Whether your child is attending on site or learning from home, we appreciate all that you are doing to support your child and their education. Your number one job as a parent is to keep your children safe and well. Parents and carers are not expected to be teachers! You are not expected to be experts in all the subjects, knowledge and skills that your children learn.

Please do contact the school by telephone 01322 350123 or by email office@bwf.education if you have any worries or concerns or if you need advice.

Please also continue to notify the school if any of your household receive a positive COVID test.

Thank you
