Welcome to Woodside Academy - part of London South East Academies Trust

We are a special academy, offering provision for 4 -19 year olds with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and moderate learning and medical needs. All our pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). All new admissions require a confirmed diagnosis of Autism (ASD).

We work in close partnership with Belmont Academy, which is unique in that it connects a special school with a mainstream school. It enables us to make meaningful links between the two educational environments, enriching the provision on offer to our children.

Woodside Academy has also recently become part of London South East Academies Trust, joining seven other outstanding schools in Bexley and Bromley. This gives us the opportunity to share best practice and strengthen educational links across the region.

Our pupils are supported by a large therapy team, including play therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy. This team works in a co-ordinated way and in partnership with the Academy to ensure all children and young people's needs are fully supported.

We have a Family Support Worker who works with families and supports them through difficult and challenging times, along with a School Nursing Service, offering on-going health education services and support for families.

We are at an exciting point in our school's development and welcome you to come and visit and find out more.
